Since 2004, Dunns River Lounge has brought the flavor, spirit, and warmth of Jamaica to Rockville Centre through authentic
food, handcrafted cocktails, music, and genuine hospitality.
How It Started
In 2004, owner Naala Royale opened Dunns River Lounge with a simple vision: to bring the food, spirit, and hospitality of
Jamaica to Long Island. More than two decades later, Dunns River has become a Rockville Centre favorite, known for
authentic Jamaican cuisine, warm hospitality, and a lasting connection to the community. Along the way, Dunns River has
been featured by News 12 and Newsday and recognized for its Caribbean cuisine.
Chef Bobby's Kitchen
For more than 15 years, Chef Bobby has led the Dunns River kitchen with consistency, care, and a deep respect for Jamaican
cooking. From slow-cooked jerk chicken and tender braised oxtail to freshly prepared escovitch snapper, his kitchen
celebrates the bold, authentic flavors of Jamaica.
Made from scratch. Poured with Island Spirit.
Our drinks carry the same Jamaican spirit as our food. House favorites like sorrel and pineapple ginger are made from scratch
with real ingredients, while our tropical cocktails bring bold Caribbean flavors to the bar. Add a pour of Appleton rum, settle in,
and on the weekends, stay for the music.
A Place That Sticks With You
First-timers become regulars, and regulars bring their people. For more than two decades, Dunns River has been a place to
gather, celebrate, eat well, and feel at home.
You matter here
It means every guest matters. Every team member matters. And everyone who walks through our doors should feel seen, welcomed, and valued.
